Inclusive Design

Shouldn’t all products be designed so that all the target users can successfully interact with them? Inclusive design aims to develop products and services which are accessible and usable for as many people as possible.

When working on a mainstream product or service we adopt an inclusive design process.

Inclusive design - Self Service Terminal

Self Service Terminals

Public Digital Terminals (PDTs) should be accessible to as many people as possible.

We take a user and task centred approach to project work on PDTs - considering the users’ goals and their interactions with the terminal.

We consider the layout and design of the terminal to ensure that all interaction areas are accessible and the PDT provides a good user experience.

Inclusive design - Self service equipmen

Self Service Equipment

When offering services which are directly accessible by customers, it is essential that the equipment is accessible to all potential customers. This makes good business sense - to maximise customer base. It is also necessary since it is unlawful to discriminate against people due to their access requirements.

Inclusive design - Customer Interface -

Customer Interface on Retail  & Banking Counters

It is important that the customer interface on retail and banking counters is accessible to the full range of customers. We have worked on accessible designs of customer interfaces since 1998 and have worked with many large companies in this area.
